Melinda is a native Houstonian and graduate of the University of Houston, Clear Lake. After having a successful career in a corporate environment for 25 years, she decided it was time for a career change. Having built and sold several of her own homes, and enjoying the selling and purchasing process, Melinda decided to pursue a career in real estate.

When Melinda has free time she loves to travel. She is a devout Houston Texans fan and enjoys attending the home games and as well as traveling to out of town games. After years in the healthcare industry, and the burnout that ensued, I found myself wanting to make a change. I accepted a temporary (I thought) part time job as an admin in a real estate office while I figured out my next steps. However, this industry began to grow on me. I'm not a 'sales-y' person, so I wasn't sure this would be a good fit. What I learned was, while agents do help clients buy and sell real property, this business is so much more about our relationships with people and making sure they get the absolute best without being screwed over. Kristen joined Markham Realty, Inc. in August of 2018, is a licensed REALTOR® and also serves as the Office Manager and Marketing Coordinator for the brokerage. She specializes in residential homes and lots, rural homes, acreage, and farm & ranch properties. She graduated and received her designation from the Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI) in June 2022. Currently she serves on the Education Committee for the Tall Pines Association of Realtors®.
